I enjoyed my daily morning iced coffee here one day while out for my walk. The little park is quite quaint and a perfect space to center yourself for the day while enjoying a coffee from Whispers. The iced latte was standard and yet the charm of the park it is nestled in makes their morning brew that much more special.

I only tried their gelato and those are delicious. Tried their vanilla, coconut almond fudge and chocolate almond gelatos. Wait time is longer as there were 2 people managing the customers. I went during the heatwave in June 2025 and they closed the gelato section due to excessive heat as the gelatos were melting. They have a nice spot to sit and enjoy the downtown view. The place is friendly for kids as they have a fountain for the kids and adults to enjoy. Parking is difficult to find. If you’re lucky, you can find a spot to park on the street and it’s paid parking.

I purchased a freshly squeezed juice called Sunrise that was listed on the board for $10, but I was charged $15. When I questioned the price difference, I was told the new signs hadn’t arrived yet. However, there was no notice anywhere indicating that prices had changed. Customers should be made aware of price updates—this felt misleading and disappointing.

I had a really good ice coffee here after running the Chicago marathon. Revitalized my energy. Hazelnut flavored and great coffee quality. I love where this place is, kind of in a mini park up on the north end. The muffins looked good but I didn’t try one. Have to go back. Staff was nice and asked about the race, very sweet gesture

Had a hazelnut iced latte. The scenery makes the place worth a visit to. There were a handful of syrups to choose from including a couple sugar free options.

Phenomenal apple cake and ice coffee. They were very helpful with suggestions and other options not listed on the menu. Plenty of seating as well!

Very cute little cafe and juice bar in a pocket park. Very much enjoyed having my juice with my feet put up on the fountain. A little wait to order, but I would expect this from a small, fresh made, single server joint.

As I stepped into Whispers, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloped me, inviting me to start my day on a delicious note. The iced coffee options here are delightful, especially their hazelnut iced latte—a favorite among visitors like Jared Cotta, who found it revitalizing after running the Chicago marathon. Customers rave about the quality of the coffee, making it worthwhile to visit this picturesque locale.

While some patrons have enjoyed the delicious gelato flavors, such as vanilla and coconut almond fudge, it’s clear that the coffee takes center stage. Chris Sam shared his delightful gelato experience, but with a note on the longer wait times during peak periods. The outdoor seating offers a pleasant view of the bustling downtown, making it a delightful spot for families and solo visitors alike.

However, it’s not all sunshine; some guests have encountered inconsistencies, particularly with pricing transparency, as noted by M C, who faced a surprising charge for a freshly squeezed juice. It’s crucial for establishments like Whispers to keep their customers informed to maintain trust and enhance their overall experience.

In my visit, I found the staff exceptionally friendly and accommodating, ready to chat and recommend options.
